I wanted to make a narative illustration and learn as much as possible in the process. The giant snakes share the same body, they're the legendary Yamata snake. I really hope Japan's gonna recover soon from the earthquake. Some images were very tragic...

Another schoolwork, but it would be kinda hard to describe it. Normally, each character presents itself in the dialogue boxes. Beacause of a lack of time I couldn't do a proper Kirk. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

Illustrated book project

My illustration teacher asked us to choose a short text an make a book out of it with illustrations . I chose the first chapter of Victor Hugo's The last day of a condemned man. The story is set in the 19th century, but my version is in the present. My teacher leaves me enough freedom to draw the way I like, so I'm going to do a pencil drawing, scan it and then ad colors. I really need a light box! You'll notice that my drawings are still sketchy despite spending hours cleaning them...Here are 3 of them, I'm planning on doing a total of 13.

We had to pick a cultural place and make a booklet out of it with illustrations or photos. I choose the natural science museum of Brussels and simply decided to draw animals.

On devait choisir un lieu culturel et en faire une brochure avec des illustrations ou des photos. J'ai choisi le Musée des sciences naturelles de Bruxelles et decida simplement de dessiner des animaux.

Alright, a little about myself.
I'm studying graphic design and illustration in Brussels. I hope this blog will force me to draw some more and help me meet other illustrators.
Your advises/critics/comments are very welcomme.

J'étudie l'illustration et la communication graphique à Bruxelles. J'espère que ce blog me forcera à dessiner plus et m'aidera à rencontrer d'autre illustrateurs.
